Add OpenRouter as AI Provider

Feature Request

Please add support for OpenRouter as an AI provider. OpenRouter allows access to multiple AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.) using a single API key, with more flexible model selection and better cost control.

Expected features:

  • OpenRouter API key input

  • Model selection from OpenRouter

  • Support for chat and summarization

  • Optional model fallback

    Although Substage doesn’t support OpenRouter as a native selectable option, it does support it via the OpenAI compatible API, see here:

    However I agree it would be nice to support it more elegantly via UI options so I’ll keep this suggestion open!
